TPMS Reset Guide — Android Effective: 29 July 2026 Last updated: 29 July 2026
This policy explains what the TPMS Reset Guide app
(com.aigenerate.tirepressure.monitoring.system) does with information. It describes
the app’s actual behaviour, verified against its source code.
The short version
- No accounts, no sign-in, no advertising.
- We do not collect your name, email, phone number, contacts, photos, or location.
- There are no analytics, tracking, or crash-reporting tools in the app.
- The only thing sent anywhere is the vehicle you choose — make, model and year — which is needed to look up a reset procedure.
- Everything else runs on your device, from a database built into the app.
What the app collects
Information you provide
Vehicle details: make, model, and year. You select these in the app. There is nothing else to enter, and no personal details are requested at any point.
Information collected automatically
None by the app itself. There is no analytics, no advertising identifier, no device fingerprinting, no session tracking, and no crash reporting. The app requests exactly two Android permissions:
| Permission | Why it is needed |
|---|---|
INTERNET | To request a reset procedure and the manufacturer and model lists |
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE | To detect whether you are offline, so the app can use its built-in database instead |
The app requests no access to location, camera, microphone, contacts, files, phone state, or Bluetooth.
What leaves your device, and where it goes
When you are online, the app makes requests to our server:
| Request | What is sent |
|---|---|
| Manufacturer list | Nothing about you or your vehicle |
| Model list for a manufacturer | The manufacturer name only |
| Vehicle check | The make, model and year you entered |
| Reset procedure | The make, model and year you entered |
As with any internet request, your IP address is necessarily visible to the server and to the hosting provider that routes the request. The app attaches no other identifier.
Third parties in that path
- Vercel Inc. hosts the service the app communicates with, so requests pass through Vercel’s infrastructure.
- Groq, Inc. provides the AI model that generates reset procedures. The make, model and year you chose are included in the request sent to that model.
Both are service providers acting on our behalf, and each publishes its own privacy policy: Vercel and Groq.
Our own server
Our server receives the make, model and year in order to return a procedure. As is standard for any web service, its hosting logs may record technical details of a request such as the IP address it came from and the time it was made. We do not use that information to identify you, we do not link it to a person, we do not build a profile from it, and we do not sell it or share it for marketing.
What is stored on your device
- A built-in vehicle database, copied out of the app package on first launch so it can be read offline. It is reference data shipped with the app and contains no information about you.
- One number: the app version that installed that database, so the app knows when to refresh it.
Your vehicle selection is not saved. It exists only in memory while you move between screens, and is gone when you close the app. There is no history, no saved-vehicles list, and no cache of past lookups.
Device backup
The app allows Android’s standard backup. In practice the only eligible items are the two above — the reference database and that version number — so a backup contains nothing personal.
What the app does not do
- No advertising, and no advertising ID is read.
- No data is sold or shared for marketing.
- No profiles are built about you.
- No push notifications.
- No social or third-party sign-in.
Children
The app is a vehicle maintenance tool and is not directed at children. It collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
Your rights
Because the app has no accounts and we store no personal data about you, there is normally nothing held about you to access, correct, or delete.
If you are in the UK, the EU, California, or another region with data protection rights, you may still ask us what request logs we hold that relate to you, ask for them to be deleted, or object to their processing. Email info@carlytics.com and we will respond within 30 days. Because we hold no account or identifier for you, we may need the approximate date and time you used the app in order to locate anything at all.
To stop all data leaving your device, use the app without a network connection — it falls back to the built-in database.
Changes to this policy
If the app’s data practices change, this policy will be updated and the “Last updated” date above changed. Material changes will be noted in the app’s release notes.
